Hello blogger, my old friend. So we meet again...
So my excuse this time is that my computer at home has been down for awhile, and the last thing I want to do when I come home is fuck around with another computer... but I finally fixed it because I couldn't listen to my mp3s while I was in my room. Funny then, that I'm actually writing this from my computer at work, which I could've blogged from all along. Another lame excuse brought to light by none other than myself. But then again, how coud it go down any other way?
I have something to confess. Something happened last night that I just have to get off of my chest: I went to a H*nson concert. Actually, I even got to "meet and greet" them. Don't get me wrong, they are nice guys, but I don't know if I'd ever do that again, especially if it is in or around the vicinity of NnC. I mean come on, if someone asked you what you'd rather do-- It's like, hey, would you rather get a blow job or get castrated? Sorry, that was a bit harsh. At least it was free, and I didn't have to wait in line. I can't say that I didn't have fun. It was good to hang out with Naomi. We planned all this stuff to ask/say to them while we were driving up there, but we only got to talk to them for like 30 seconds. They were pretty anal about the one autograph OR photo with the band; you couldn't do both. Anyway, enough of that...
Let's summarize what the hell I've been up to for the past two months:
* Went to a Norah Jones concert at the Greek Theater
* Went to a Jack Johnson/Ben Harper concert at the Greek Theater
* Been spending quite a bit of time with Nancy. I think if she were to ask me to move in with her, I would
* Went to Lesley's birthday party
* Bonded with Jack on my birthday (and got a digital camera! sorry, but I gotta say, my friends are so much better than yours). Got a cool T-shirt too. Big up to Thu and Lesley. Oh shit, holla!
* Went to a couple of Goh's gigs at Ireland's 32 on Geary. I think he gets better with every show... Note to self: fix the buzz in his pickup
* Said goodbye to my friend from high school who is moving to Texas for a year or so. Goodbyes help to appreciate the people around you more.
* Saw a movie called Dancer in the Dark. Don't watch this if you are drunk, cuz it will either make you bawl your eyes out or be a total buzzkill, and if you are sober, it will make you want to drink cuz you get SO depressed. I watched a movie a while back called Requiem for a Dream which is pretty damn depressing; Dancer in the Dark was five times more depressing. Seriously.
* Saw a movie called Bend It Like Beckham and subsequently fell in love with Keira Knightley. She has made my list. I think it was the accent that pushed her over the threshold... that, and the fact that she reminds me of a young Winona Ryder
* Went to go see this band play at Edinburg Castle in the city. Note to self: for future reference, this place is hot and smells funny
I've been offered a unique opportunity to do some contract work for Jon Tucci. Very few times in a man's life is his self-worth put to the test: if I fix his beer making machine, I get free beer for a year.
